AC Milan are preparing a dreadful deal to bring back a player they miss so much; Gerard Deulofeu.
After letting Higuain leave and bringing in Piatek from Genoa to replace the Argentine, AC Milan plans to strengthen their wing position with Deulofeu on list.
The Rossoneri thinks the proper execution of this very plan would mean them reuniting with their former loanee, Deulofeu, now plays for Watford.
Gerard started his career with Barcelona back in 2003 as a youth player and was called up to the senior team on April 2011, although he didn’t get to play the game as his side lost.
By 2013, Gerard had signed a professional contract with Barca but it was little time before he was loaned to Everton on July 10th, 2013 to gain more experience and strength.
Deulofeu ended his campaign with Everton in an almost pleasing form as he managed to net 4 goals in 29 appearances for the Toffees and was called back to Barcelona in May 2014.
Despite just been granted a first-team place by the then new manager, Luis Enrique, Deulofeu once again was loaned to Sevila after Barca reached an agreement with Los Hispalenses.
Luck ran out with the Spaniard as he was selected on the Marca’s worst la liga team of the season after a very poor performance at Sevila.
July 2015, Everton came knocking and Barcelona opened the door. Deulofeu was now one of the Toffees and managed to score his first goal for the club in 2-1 win against Reading.
He was loaned to AC Milan on January 2017 and managed to impress the San Siro occupants but returned to Barcelona after the club activated their buy back clause by June, the same year.
Loan came for him again as he was meant to join Watford on 29th January 2018. Gerard has been with the club ever since then after signing a permanent deal with Watford for a fee of €13 million.
Funny enough that the reason why AC Milan is asking for him is definitely on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Although Watford has strictly disclosed that any transfer involving the Spaniard would mean the bidders tabling €25 million for an outright.
AC Milan do not like that and they plan to engage the English team in a dirty tranfer war as they look to make more tempting offers for the winger.
