Ampadu completes loan move to RB Leipzig

Chelsea teenage defender, Ethan Ampadu has successfully joined Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig on a loan deal.

Ampadu will be staying with the German side for the rest of the 2019/2020 season after he recovered from an injury that saw him miss the Europa league Final.

Ethan Ampadu got chances under the former Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri as he got to feature in some matches, despite being a young kid.

The defender was once almost bought over by current manager while in Derby county but the deal failed.

Little wonder why the current manager not keep him since he uses the younger version of his squad than the old, Lampard had this to say on the deal.

‘I tried to sign Ampadu on loan at Derby last year so I’m a big fan, but with the minutes he played last year, in the interest of Ethan and of Chelsea, the idea he can play a lot of games somewhere could be good for him. Lampard told the club official website.

‘I really wanted to work with Ethan this year. That’s a slight disappointment, but it’s to benefit of him. In midfield and defence we have a lot of quality, so each player is a case by case.’

Guess Ethan Ampadu’s loan is for space to be created ahead of his return to the club as the English side prepare for a better future with the 18 years old.
