Arsenal will likely have the talented midfielder back in action when they battle Newcastle for the FA Cup fixture on Saturday
Arsenal look to continue their impressive run of form after having recently come off their long losing streak as the news of the Ghanaians return come as a bolster.
Having made just five appearances since his arrival from Atletico Madrid, Thomas Partey was subtracted from the squad following a hamstring injury.
His absence from the squad was felt greatly as the midfield lacked composure while he was sidelined.
Mikel Arteta’s men are currently seeing out good results since their 3-1 victory over Chelsea and going on to make the number of unbeaten games 3.
It’s very much understood that Partey’s return will bolster the team a lot after the manager spoke of his return as to be like a new signing.
“We are in January and I think he’s played two and a half games. That’s all and he was our main signing,” Arteta said of Partey before his return.
“We’ve been missing him. He brings something different to the team, he’s a player with an enormous talent, but as well someone that can transform the team the way we want.
“It’s great if we can have him, keep him healthy and I think he will contribute in a really positive way.”
According to the team, Partey will be assessed as he trains with the squad to determine if he is 100% back to fitness to face The Magpies.
