Arsenal has completed the signing of Willian from Chelsea for free.

Free agent, Willian, has signed a 3-year deal with Arsenal, after falling out with Chelsea.

The London side made the announcement this morning that Willian has joined them on a 3 years deal that will see him stay at Emirates till 2022/23 season.

The announcement was made on Arsenal’s official Twitter account: “Brazilian International @WillianBorges88 has signed a three-year deal to join us ahead of 2020/21 season”

Willian who fell out of favour with Chelsea, where he spent seven years, took to his social media accounts some days ago to say that he will be leaving the club this summer.

Willian’s contract expired after Chelsea’s game against Bayern in the UCL, and the 32 years old has refused to sign a new contract with the club. He chooses to join Arsenal instead and earn around £200,000 a week.

Barcelona and Inter Miami were all Interested in the winger, but Willian is happy going to Arsenal and playing along side his brother and friend, Luiz who left Chelsea for Arsenal too one year ago.

Mikel Arteta, after lifting the FA CUP and gaining automatic qualification to the UEL next season is looking to strengthen his squad with a bit of experience so to get ready for next season campaign.

Arsenal is happy to get Willian and are also looking forward to getting Coutinho too on Loan and Partey probably. They want to contend for the league next season.

Willian would be a good addition to Arsenal’s attack, with Pepe blowing hot and cold. Aubameyang is set to sign a new deal as Lacazette is linked with a move to Juventus.

Arsenal wouldn’t worry again if Lacazette leaves, as they have gotten his automatic replacement in Willian. With all these and more, Arteta’s Arsenal seem ready for next season.
