The Arsenal squad is bloated and Mikel Arteta knows he needs to make some top additions to his side during the summer window and an attacking midfielder is believed to be high on the Spaniard agenda.
This means the Gunners will have to sign an alternative and Real Betis Nabil Fekir have already been seen as a transfer target and arsenal have reportedly made a move for the Star.
Nabil Fekir have been on Arsenal’s radar for long and have been linked with a move to the Emirates even during the January transfer window.
The Frenchman had five assists and six goals last season which saw Real Betis earn a sixth placed finish.
Since his days at Lyon, a switch to Arsenal was believed to be extremely close just for him to later join Betis in Spain but the Gunners are now ready to land the 27-year-old.
According to reports, Arsenal put in a bid although it is believed to be far from the amounts that Betis are asking to sell their player.
Antonio Cordon[Betis Sporting Director] have also refused to rule out the possibility of Fekir leaving.
“In no club in the world there is a non-transferable player if succulent offers arrive . He said.
“For us, it is a cornerstone to have him and keep him, if someone wants to come for him, they will have to pay a lot of money.” He added.
While Fekir won’t actively push to leave, Real Betis would consider selling if only their valuation is met.
