Things will be better in Liverpool if they sign Messi – Barnes said
Ex-Liverpool player Barnes shares his positive opinion with the Reds; he thinks that Liverpool with their good form this season doesn’t need to bring in a new signing to their squad in the next transfer market.
John Barnes believes that Jurgen Klopp already has complete squad to carry out his task.
The Reds have been in a great form and have enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2019 season, leading the EPL table so far with eight points clear of Leicester City who sits second, having won 15 of their opening 16 fixtures, with defending champions Manchester City already 14 points off the pace and they are also progressing in Europe.
Liverpool booked their place in the last 16 champions league draw following their 2-0 win in Austria against Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday night, with goals from Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah.

They have are set to bring their 30-year old wait for domestic glory to and end come May 2020, with a home match against struggling Watford next Saturday.
Following Joel Matip and Fabinho injury, there has been rumors of a new centre-back arriving at Anfield in the new transfer market, but the Head coach has already ruled out adding to his defensive ranks.
The 2018 Champions League winners are also linked with a number of high profile attackers, including the likes of Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and PSG’s star Kylian Mbappe.
Reds legend Barnes has joked that Barcelona hit-man Lionel Messi would be a good signing, meanwhile, he thinks realistically, that the Reds don’t have any reason to splash the cash in January.
“No one, what’s the point in Liverpool singing anyone? If they could get Messi that would be great, but we have enough squad but I am very happy with the way it is.”
The likes of Mane, Firmino and Salah in the club have left the club in firing on all cylinders at the start of the season, with 20 goals recorded in total between them in the EPL.
“Mane has been our most consistent player but as a whole, it’s been a real team effort
“Look at Origi, came in against Everton and did what he did. Salah and Firmino, this is the best Liverpool team in terms of unity.
Once we had Gerrard and Suarez, I feel then we had better players, but the current side perform better as team. If I had to choose one stand out player, it would be Mane.” He told press
Barnes also hints on the difficulty of achieving such a feat; “Of course, it is possible but I don’t expect them to, it so hard in the Premier League now.
“They would have to go to Manchester City and not to lose, Tottenham and not to lose. It is a possibility, but I doubt it, it is so difficult now in the Premier League.”
