The English man has regained his spot in the strating 11 after losing out amid Tuchel’s early days
Chilwell believe he can repeat similar things done by Chelsea legend, Ashley Cole as he sets for greater heights at Stamford Bridge.
The former Leicester man arrived Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard and has remained the preferred man over Marcus Alonso and Emerson Palmieri despite been dropped for a while during Tuchel’s early days.
And with Chelsea still in contest for the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League, the 24-year-old appears to be having a flourishing first season.
Blues are in battle tonight against FC Porto for the second leg of their quarter final tie and Chilwell believes he can repeat what Ashley Cole did at the club.
‘When I first came here I was keen to meet him [Cole] so I could pick his brains,’ said Chilwell.

‘He was pretty similar – he came at a young age and ended up becoming a Chelsea legend. If I can try to replicate the career he’s had here, I will be pretty happy.
‘We hopefully want to win a trophy or two this season.’
