Eduardo Berizzo, Athletico Bilbao’s coach has been fired, barely a week he’s returning from a cancer surgery.
Is this some kind of history repeating itself? Remember, the Argentine was fired last year December, and also a week back from the same cancer surgery.
The 49 year old Argentine took over the club on May 2018 and has never won any league match since the start of the season.
Due to the Berizzo’s poor management style, the club is left at the bottom of the league table thereby showing every tendency that they might relegating to a lower league, by the end of the season.
The club’s board thought it wise to replace the Argentine retired footballer before the team will be drowned under the league table.
Athletico Bilbao has already named a replacement for the fired coach, thereby eliminating the chances of leaving the post vacant.
“Gaizka Garitano” is the man to replace Berizzo.
Gaizka is the club’s youth team coach. Born in July 1975, Giazka is a former Spanish midfielder who started his coaching careers back in 2009. Giazka first coached Eibar and dragged them to the top division within the shortest period of time.
Is he really the right replacement, considering the competition existing in the Laliga compared to his Managerial records, inning 113 games out of the 303 games he lead his sides to.
Lost 105 and draw the rest, can he really fit into the Laliga system and save Rojiblancos from been demoted to the lower league.
