Chelsea prepare to battle Tottenham on Thursday night but could do so without their talented midfielder
Thomas Tuchel via the video link today spoke of his squad update ahead of the derby clash tomorrow as Chelsea hope for a second win under the new manager.
The German’s first two games have seen Chelsea running in pleasant forms with zero shots on target conceded while dominating over 70% of the game time in both halves.
With his first game in charge seeing Kai Havertz perform impressively, it may not sound well to the manager knowing the 21-year-old would miss the game tomorrow.

Havertz almost knocked in a winning goal against Wolverhampton in Tuchel’s goalless first game draw before the side went on to beat Burnley in the following fixture.
Speaking via the video link, Tuchel said; “We had two little issues today on the training pitch.”
It was also revealed by the manager that Zouma is also a doubt for the game tomorrow despite having not made any appearance since his takeover.
Although it seems likely the 47-year-old is planning on benching one of his two defense men [Rudiger/Silva] so as to feature the Frenchman.

“Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz went off the pitch with little issues,” he continued. “They are checking now, doing images right now, and it’s questionable whether they are in the squad for tomorrow. Everybody else is available.”
A win over the opponents tomorrow would serve as a major bolster to a Chelsea side that hopes to get back into the top 4 place as that would see Tuchel extending his 18-month contract.
Being a manager that has garnered much experience from the field, coming new to Premier League doesn’t prevent him from learning quickly of the importance of the game tomorrow night.

Admitting of Tottenham’s impressive form this season Tuchel went on to add; “I am very happy to compete with a strong team against his side.
“I am very happy to arrive with our quality, with our mentality and with the atmosphere we have right now. That’s the most important thing.
“Tottenham are very competitive, and very strong. It will be a challenge. Is it a clash of cultures? I don’t know.

“Jose is a winner and I want to implement the same in my team. We are at the highest level to win games and we will try everything tomorrow to beat them in their stadium.”
