Bohemias holds Chelsea to a draw in Lampard’s first match as manager

Chelsea were held to a draw by Bohemias in a their first match under new manager, Frank Lampard.

The Blues must have long been waiting to see their first game under their Legend, Frank Lampard after his historic return from Derby County.

But these high hopes and expectations might have been quenched a little after Frank Lampard and his boys failed to secure their 0-1 lead at Dalymount Park yesterday.

Michy Batshuayi quickly found the back of the net in the 8th minute in his quest of proving himself to the new manager and hopefully breaking into the first eleven.

All signs showed that as a friendly match, Lampard intended to test all the players he had on ground on the match, which he actually did.

Large number of youngsters were as well given opportunities to display what they can do against opponents. Just like we all know, Frank loves using the younger version of his squad.

With Bakayoko also getting to play for the Blues after a short term loan toItalian side, AC Milan.

The Blues indeed had put in efforts against their friendly opponent, dominating 61% of the match and also their 3 shots on target against Bohemias 2 out of 14 and 7 shots respectively.

But all the efforts to seal Lampard’s first match win as Chelsea Manager was rubbished when Molly equalized the goal late in the 89th minute.

Leaving Lampard disappointed, but at least it wasn’t a lost and wasn’t actually an important match anyway.

The Blues supporters will be expecting to see more work and power as the club set to face Sir Patrick’s Athletic on Saturday.
