Arsenal have been dealt a massive transfer blow as Emiliano Buendia closes in on Aston Villa transfer move.
Arsenal and Aston Villa have been keeping tabs on Emiliano Buendia after the player’s impressive display for Norwich in the Championship.
The Gunners and Aston Villa have been battling it out for the Argentine signature but it is now being reported that Aston Villa have well won the transfer race.
According to ever reliable Football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Aston villa have reportedly beaten Arsenal to the signing of Emiliano Buendia after having a bid accepted for the Norwich midfielder.
Buendia scored 15 goals and made 16 assists to help Norwich secure promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Although, Arsenal initially registered a strong interest in Buendia and according to rumors even made a bid but the 24-year-old have chosen to play for Villa.
Buendia was named Championship Player of Season for his outstanding performances across the campaign and Arsenal’s supporters will be disappointed at the Club’s hierarchy.
Villa are now set and confident of completing the deal over the next 72 hours after sealing the deal for £30million, a club-record deal set by Ollie Watkins, who joined for £28m plus add-ons from Brentford last September
