Arsenal will be in the market for a new left-back this summer to create a competition with Tierney and also as a back up.
After failing to strengthen the left back position during the January transfer window, Arsenal has struggled to cope without a proper right back missing the services of Scotland international Keiran Tierney.
According to reports, Sead Kolasinac will be leaving North London at the end of the season since arriving on a free transfer from Schalke.
The 27-year-old scored twice for Arsenal in all competitions across 78 appearances.
Sead joined Schalke on loan after falling out of favor with Mikel Arteta and his play time was also limited due to the emergence of Kieran Tierney.
With his contract up in June 2022, Kolasinac is reportedly not in Mikel Arteta‘s plans and his former club has been urged to make a permanent transfer for the left back.
“It is our absolute dream to keep Sead,”
“He’s an incredibly good guy, lives for the club, pushes and pulls the cart. Sead embodies Schalke like no other.
“Of course, it is our wish to keep him until the end of his career and beyond.” Schalke sporting director said.
Although no formal offer has been made to sign the Bosnian international, an offer is imminent.
