Arsenal have been linked to a move for the 24-year-old, with Brandt rumored to be interested in North London switch
The Bundesliga side have been said to be likely to lose Julian Brandt after recent rumors linked the winger to an Arsenal trip.
As he also stars as an attacking midfielder, it’s rumored that Arteta is pushing to land Brandt in order to replace Ozil who is linked to an exit.
Meanwhile, things seem not so with the former Bayer Leverkusen star following comments from Borussia Dortmund Director, Michael Zorc.
Since his arrival in 2019, Brandt has netted 3 goals in his 45 appearances for the Signal Iduna Park side, leaving him numbers away from meeting his 33 goals in 165 appearances for Leverkusen.
Speaking to reporters Zorc revealed that there has been no deal or whatsoever discussed with any club for the player.
Labelling the past reports as rumors, Zorc said; “There is nothing on the table at the moment.
“We can’t do anything about rumours that are constantly being spread that simply don’t reflect the truth. There’s currently no interest”.
Arsenal are of course in search of a creative midfielder considering the chance that Ozil could decide not to extend his stay once his contract runs out.
Having also been linked to leaving Emirates Stadium, it was rumored yesterday that the 32-year-old has reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe on a 3-year-deal.
Arsenal will continue to search for a midfielder and just like a Skysports reporter suggested, Ozil’s departure depends on Arsenal’s ability to land a replacement this Winter.
