Chelsea are set to lose one of their strikers as Giroud begin talks with Italian team
The Frenchman is keen for departure after turning down offers from Chelsea local rivals, West Ham United.
Although not yet agreed but it’s reported by top sources that the striker is at the verge of agreeing to a deal that will have him join AC Milan.
Since his arrival from Arsenal, Giroud has seen his fate blessed with 2 FA cup trophies, 1 Europa League and their recent Champions League trophy having managed 39 goals in 119 appearances.
The 34- year-old is currently considered Chelsea’s UCL hero after his over-head kick helped the side seal a win past Atletico Madrid.
This would have Giroud lining up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic after a much rumored move to the Serie A.
Tuchel now turns to landing new strikers or the return of Chelsea on-loan Armando Broja.
Kai Havertz has been tipped as another option to retain the number 9 Jersey should Tammy Abraham decide to leave after been offered the option.
Abraham could likely make the move considering he has been benched most of the time since Tuchel joined as a free agent.
Chelsea initially were considering a move to reunite with Lukaku but after the Belgian’s comments, it’s now less likely a move would materialize.
