Manchester United Will Be Without Anthony Martial For The Europa League Final, As French Forward Suffers New Injury Setback, That May Rule Out Of The Euros.
Martial had impressive 2019/2020 season when he enjoyed the most prolific season of his career scoring 23 goal and assisting 9.
A run that earned him the Man United players player of the year, and also earned him a place in Didier Deschamps’ team after a two years absent from the team.
Anthony Martial (25) endured a terrible start to the season and never got into his groove. Having the lowest scoring season of his Manchester United career with a return of seven goals in all competitions.
His goal tally amongst all four of United’s forward, scoring four in the League while underperforming his 7.25 xG.
This has cut a source of concern for ole and the player himself, has he has looked low on confidence many times in front of goal this season.
This has not been helped by the amount of online abuse he receives from some overbearing social media users.
The Frenchman woes we’re compounded by a knee injury he suffered on National duties during their World cup qualifier win over Kazakhstan in March.
He has since been sidelined but returned to light individual training earlier this week.
The Striker who was scheduled to be back on the 23rd of May has suffered further setback and has consequently been ruled out of the Europa League Final.
Martial was selected as a part of the Team to represent France at the Euros in Portugal. But it remains to be seen if he will be fit on time for the Euros.
