Solskjær confirms Manchester United’s Captain, Harry Maguire Will Miss The Europa League Final, Alongside French Forward Anthony Martial.
Manchester United’s manager solskjær has confirmed that the team will be without Captain, Harry Maguire For The Europa League Final.
The Player continues to recover from an injury he sustained in a 3-1 away victory over Aston Villa earlier this month.
Harry Maguire who signed from Leicester City for a record breaking £80m has divided opinions amongst the Old Trafford Faithfuls.
To some, he’s overpriced, to others, he’s underrated. Some even labelled him “an overpriced, underrated player”
Like it or not he’s the most constant Player for United and deservedly so, as United hasn’t won any game in his absence this season.
He has been a constant in Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s line-up since the start of last season. Racking up 34 league appearances this term.
prior to his injury, he was the only outfield Player to have played every minute in the Premier League This Season.
Often criticised for his nervy defending at times, he is no doubt the best Central Defender at the club.
However he’ll not be available for United’s penultimate game of the Season, even though he’s now walking without the aid of his crutches.
This was confirmed by head coach Ole Gunnar in press conference today contrary to earlier believe that he will be back in time for their clash against Wolves.
Solskjær: “He’s [Maguire] walking but it’s a long way from walking to running so, to be honest, I don’t think we’ll see him in Gdansk, no.”
Frenchman Anthony Martial will also miss the final as he will be hoping to be back for the Euros after returning to individual training earlier this week.
Scott Mc Tominay is also a doubt as he picked up a knock in training.
