Manchester United’s Star man , Bruno Fernandes, has spoken after falling short of the PFA Player of the year award
Manchester United and Portuguese creative midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has spoken in the wake of the PFA awards ceremony after missing out on two PFA awards.
Fernandes who joined Manchester United from sporting Lisbon in February 2020 has been a wonder 18 months on.
He racked up the most goals involvement for all midfielders in Europe’s top leagues as he got 46g/a the record for midfielders.
He also won 4 PFA Player of the month awards in his first full year as a United player.
His addition has totally turned Ole Gunnar’s Team around winning the most points in the second half of last season.
The Player was nominated for the PFA Player of the year and also goal of the year award for his brilliance this term.
Having lost the PFA goal of the year award to Eric Lamela’s superb rabona kick against north London rivals Arsenal, he was dealt further blow as he lost the PFA POTY award.
United’s city rivals ran away with everything as Kevin De Bruyne won his second consecutive PFA award joining Henry and Ronaldo as the only players to have won the award back to back.
Marcos Rashford also Lost out in the YPOTY as Manchester city’s Phil Foden was considered more deserving of the award.
Bruno Fernandes took like a Champion and he’s now looking forward to next season as he will also be hoping to help United clinch the PL for the first time since sir Alex Ferguson.
Bruno Fernandes still has a chance at the Balon d’or if he can be the Star man for Portugal and lead them to Euros triumph.
