The Number 8 despite having made only few appearances for the Red Devils in the previous season was happy to pen another contract.
It’s known how much Bruno Fernandes loves wearing the number 8 jersey and having Juan Mata still in the team has so far deprived the Portuguese of this desire.

Currently with the number 18 jersey, Bruno Fernandes shared he has to wait another year before he could finally get the number 8 jersey.
“I guess I’ll have to wait for the number 8 another year,” Fernandes tweeted.
“Congrats brother!! Well deserved! An example and an inspiration on and off the pitch.”
Mata has so far made 273 appearances for his former rivals since arriving the club in 2014 and has managed 51 goals.
The 33-year-old has won four trophies with United including an Europa League trophy, Carabao Cup, Community Shield and the FA Cup.
