Frank Lampard prepares to usher in another youngster into Chelsea squad as the Blues agree loan deal to let Davide Zappacosta return to Italy.
According to reports, Davide Zappacosta would be joining AS Roma in no distant time, as agreements have been reportedly met by both clubs.
The 27 year old right back sets to return to his country after falling out of favor since joining Chelsea from Torino in 2017 for a 4-year contract which cost the Blues €28m plus bonuses.
Skysports reporter, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that Zappacosta is currently preparing to undergo medicals at Roma, following the agreed loan move that would have him tied to i giallorossi.
Although, the Italian still has one-year remaining on his Chelsea contract paper, DailyTelegraph claims that his loan is for space to be created to youngster, Recce James who is currently undergoing fitness tests.
The English youngster sets to join other young players Frank Lampard plans to use this season. Recce is expected to come in as Azpilicueta’s second, as the Spanish has been struggling to fit in since the start of the season.
