Bayern Munich defender, David Alaba may be on his way to the French capital this winter with PSG having bettered Blues offer for the 28-year-old with a lucrative contract to sway him off planned West London move.

The Blues were very much on course in landing the versatile defender this winter transfer window, with the Austrian having already declared his admiration for Frank Lampard’s development strides at Stamford Bridge.

The West Londoners reportedly offered Alaba a three-year deal last week following the 28-year-old’s vehement refusal to extend his contract with the Bavarians with sources pinpointing Stamford Bridge as the Austrians next destination.

A probable twist of fate now sees Alaba on course for a move to Parc des Princes after a much lucrative offer from the big spenders, bettering Chelsea’s and affording Alaba a chance to play alongside friend, Neymar, with the Parisians hoping to add his wealth of experience in their quest for European glory this term.

A severe blow indeed for Lampard who’s been keen on having the two-time UEFA Champions League winner part of his building plans at Stamford Bridge, but may have to forfeit the chase with latest developments.
