Bayern Munich star back man, David Alaba has handed Blues a major transfer boost ahead of the January transfer window.
Lately last week, the Austrian’s intention to leave the German side was made known by reports of his agent likely to meet with Chelsea over a transfer move talk.
Having spent over a decade with Bayern Munich, the 28-year-old is considering leaving the Bundesliga for the EPL with Blues still the only likely destination.
According to recent reports, Bayern Munich has made efforts to keep the versatile center-back who started as a left-back.
Alaba is however keen on leaving the club as he turned down recent contract extension talks offered earlier today by the European Champions.
Chelsea are expected to begin official proceedings to complete Alaba’s switch by January.
Giroud nears Blues exit
Olivier Giroud’s stay at Stamford Bridge nears it’s end amid the French man’s lack of playtime.
With the Frenchman’s agent outcry last month on his client’s lack of playing time under Frank Lampard, Olivier Giroud could finally be ending his Blues relationship.
Inter Milan remains the most feasible location and Blues are keen to respect his desires of competing for playing time.
