Chelsea enter chase to land Strasbourg defender with AC Milan and Nice also in contest to materialize a deal
The Blues are reportedly after Mohamed Simakan after he has been disclosed of pushing for an exit come January.
Strasbourg has seen the 20-year-old feature in all of their games lately as he has managed to become an integral part of the squad.
As this would come as a huge blow to the League 1 side, Strasbourg hope to realize every possible fund they can from the exit of Simakan.
With Chelsea already named a major competitor to land the Frenchman, AC Milan are also reportedly back with an improved deal, after failing to price away Simakan during the previous window.
Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma have managed to form an impressive partnership at Chelsea backline although, the English side has failed to remain consistent as they only won one out of their last 5 EPL games.
Having looked at the situation with Fikayo Tomori who is believed to be heading a January exit after failing to impress Frank Lampard, Chelsea push to land Simakan at Stamford Bridge.
Strasbourg are believed to be wanting to receive above £13.5m for Simakan’s departure after rejecting AC Milan’s last time offer of £12.5m.
The Marseille born joined Strasbourg from the team’s youth section and made his debut in their Europa League’s Maccabi Haifa 3-1 trash.
