The Chelsea boss in an interview with TalkSport yesterday confirmed the 26-year-old goalkeeper is still very much committed to the Blues amid growing reports of a potential move back to his native Spain.

“He’s [Kepa] in good shape and is committed to the club. We very much need him and what he brings to the club”

“We spoke yesterday, he’s ready for action when in goal” he said

Kepa did a lot last season and he’s very much part of the team, of course we can’t play two at a time. He’s looked good in training and is confident” He added.

The world’s-most-expensive goalkeeper is set for a return to Champions League action tomorrow against Krasnodar.

“When the players took the knee which represents diversity, that message is clear and our fans clapped the message. That’s Chelsea Football Club.” He said.

Chelsea will likely make tactical changes for tomorrow’s clash with the confirmed absence of Ziyech and Hudson-Odoi, with Tammy Abraham likely to take center role in attack and flanked by Pulisic and Werner.

The Blues will also have skipper, Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back and Emerson Palmieri at left-back.

Antonio Rudiger should partner Andreas Christensen at the center, with Jorginho and Kovacic in holding midfield, while Kai Havertz provides creative attacking play for the hosts.
