Chelsea go head to head with Burnley today as fight for top 4 intensify following Man United Arsenal 0-0 draw on Saturday
The 47-year-old failed to materialize a win in a game that looked more in their favor as he bagged the most possession in the EPL.
Unlike the Wolves clash, Tuchel has spent some time with the players and it’s assumed he hasn’t gotten more familiar with them all and now knows better than before what players to field.
N’golo Kante is back to the squad after his suspension and injury. Tuchel has praised the Frenchman a lot and believes his presence in the center will help solidify the team.
So apparently it’s more likely he would be making the starting lineup in Tuchel’s supposed 4-2-3-1 formation.
Chelsea are more of a full squad as the only injured player; Kante has returned. There could be an appearance for Marcos Alonso and Timo Werner who Tuchel promised to work out the best in him.
Ben Chilwell killed most of the chances during the previous fixture and it’s more likely he won’t be making the start today unless he impressed in the training.
Having seen the change Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Pulisic brought to the game against Wolves after coming off the bench, it’s more likely the trio will be at the starting line-up today.
Burnley on the other hand have been in an impressive form lately, having won 5 of their last 10 games which included wins against Arsenal and Liverpool.
Sean Dyche’s men could be a stumbling block to Chelsea but it’s expected that Tuchel’s adaptability will help ease the process today.
Speaking ahead of the game, the manager revealed of his confidence in his boy and believes they can overcome Chelsea.
“It’s just a reminder to myself of the players that I work with and the quality of them,” Dyche said. “The industry they are prepared to put in, the physicality.
“The most pleasing thing is when a group of people take on a challenge. They’ve never been scared of a challenge. We’ve had a few knocks but when you come through that it reminds you of how good they are as people and players.
“I’ve got a lot of trust in these players and how they go about their business and it just reinforces it when you get a good result.”
