Chris Smalling, Andreas Pereira and Diogo Dalot are all linked with a move away from United to Italian sides
Three of Manchester United players who didn’t flourish at the club have been seriously linked with a move to Italian teams.
Some hours after Fabrizio Romano tweeted that “Lazio have opened talks with Manchester United to sign Andreas Pereira..” The journalist then confirmed that it’s a done deal.
Pereira is considered option by Lazio and have landed the player on a loan offer. Total agreement have been reached on a loan with buy option [€27m]. His salary will be shared between the two clubs as Medicals is scheduled for this week.
Also Source from Italy confirmed that AS Roma are preparing a new bid to sign Chris Smalling from Manchester United on a permanent deal.
The player who enjoyed his 2019/20 season on loan at the Italian club before he was called back by United had always been the target of AS Roma.
Fabrizio confirmed that talks have re-opened between United and Roma about Smalling, and the player is pushing to leave United and go back to Italy to join Roma.
Lastly, Diogo Dalot has been linked with a move to AC Milan. Another player who didn’t perform well at the club since making his way to United back in 2018.
AC Milan have asked Manchester United for Diogo Dalot on loan with buy option but Manchester United want to sell him on a permanent deal.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that no agreement has been reached at the moment but Milan is pushing to find agreement with United over the player’s transfer to Italy.
