David Alaba is ready to cut ties with the European Champions after 13-years with Chelsea and Real Madrid disclosed possible destination
Chelsea top transfer target, David Alaba has finally disclosed he will be leaving Bayern Munich by the end of his current contract.
The Austrian is linked to a move to Stamford Bridge and Santiago Bernabeu since his agents revealed of his plans to switch sides.
Chelsea are the only English club to have presented a formal offer for the 28-year-old while Real Madrid has presented lots of lucrative offers to price him away from Allianz Arena.
Alaba is yet to pick a side to head to but he has revealed that for sure he won’t be a Bayern Munich player after seeing out his current contract.
“I have made the decision to leave #FCBayern at the end of this season and try something new. It obviously wasn’t an easy decision – I’ve been here for 13 years and the club means a lot to me.” Alaba said via the club’s twitter page.
with eyes now in search of his next location, Alaba cleared the air that he is yet to decide on his next club, “I haven’t decided where I’m going next,” the Champions League winner said.
David Alaba’s stay at Bayern Munich brought to his name 9 Bundesliga trophies and 2 UEFA Champions Leagues in addition to the last trophy; the World Club Cup which came days back.
Speaking ahead of his departure, Alaba sent out words of gratitude to the club he won so many titles with saying; “Everyone, absolutely everyone. I’m really thankful for that and that’s why it made this such a hard decision. I can call #FCBayern my family.”
Chelsea will continue to push for chances of landing David Alaba despite the strong interest from Real Madrid and also hints his agent could push for a Barcelona move since they are friend’s with one of the Barcelona’s presidential candidates.
