The Turkish back man will join Liverpool on loan as the Reds complete plans to land him at Anfield with the January transfer window close to end
Liverpool have finally landed the much needed defender after suffering heavily from the absence of their main defenders.
With the side already trailed several defenders in the recent past, Klopp’s side decided to land Schalke’s Ozan Kabak on loan.
According to Fabrizio Romano, both personal terms and medical tests meeting have been completed as the star is expected to join before the close of the window.
Having missed out on Marseille’s Duje Caleta-Car, Liverpool have agreed to pay the loan sum of £2.5m to land Kabak.
The loan doesn’t include any obligation as The Reds will be opportune to make the deal permanent afterwards.
But that would have them pay a sum of €30m as potential final fee and would have him join them for 5 years.
The signing comes as a huge boost to Liverpool’s Premier League title race after falling off the top table following series of losses.
Announcement is expected to be made soon by both parties.
