Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Mary Earps
United Women’s team have completed their fifth signing of the summer by Landing the Goal Keeper, Mary Earps.
The English International spent two years in England, Reading, and only made three appearances for the club, from where she moved to Germany, Wolfburg.
Her performance at world cup attracted the United’s to look for her signature. She was signed from Wolfburg after one season there.
Earps was part of the women’s World Cup squad in France. She has played for Women’s Super League sides including Reading, Bristol and Birmingham, and is excited to be Casey Stoney’s latest addition to the squad.
As reported by Manchester Evening news, the player is happy to be part of United’s squad., she said “I’m delighted to have signed for Manchester United,”
She stated “Something special is happening at the club and I’m excited to become a part of that. I feel like this is the perfect place for me to reach the next level in my career – I can’t wait to get started.”
The United Women’s coach believes so much in the player so said “Mary is a great addition to the team and will strengthen our goalkeeping department as we look to push on this season in the WSL; we are all looking forward to working with her,” Stoney said about United’s latest addition.
Earps is United’s fifth signing of the summer with the club already announcing deals for Netherlands midfielder Jackie Groenen, England defender Abbie McManus, Birmingham City star Hayley Ladd and Scotland striker Jane Ross, According to Manchester Evening news.
