Chelsea may have just been handed a major boost ahead of the Southampton game on Saturday as two stars return from injury
Thomas Tuchel could see his Southampton task eased following positive news on two stars who have been left out of their last few games.
Chelsea winning the game tomorrow will strengthen their place in the top 4 zone after overtaking Liverpool with a Newcastle victory.
Both Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz were left out of the Blues’ last few games with both men suffering knocks.
During the training session today, both stars were spotted training with the squad.
This would mean Christensen benched tomorrow after having replaced the Brazilian well during his absence.
Kai Havertz also could be inserted into the midfield with Tuchel left with the worry of fixing in the German considering the large number of options available.
On the other hand, Southampton would be without two of their star men.
Theo Walcott and Kyle Walker-Peters will both miss the game on Saturday as Southampton boss admits to difficulty due to the presence of his former assistant on the opposite side.
Zsolt is Thomas Tuchel’s current assistant at Stamford Bridge and has worked with Ralph Hasenhuttl (Southampton manager) for two years during their Leipzig days.
“I know Zsolt Low very well,” the 53-year-old said.
“He is fantastic and I worked very well with him for two years in Leipzig. He knows me very well and knows the way we play very well, that doesn’t make it easy for us to be honest.”
