Edinson Cavani finally breaks silence after FA Sanction

Cavani was lately handed a three match ban plus £100k fine following a comment he left on his IG page

The former PSG man has broken the silence following his FA Sanction that would see him missing United’s next three games.

Cavani who although pleaded guilty to the FA charges did early on made it clear to the public that his comments weren’t for any racial purpose.

‘Negrito’ which was interpreted by the FA to be racial after several weeks of scrutiny means ‘friend’ in Uruguay according to Cavani.

As he also is faced with a face-to-face education program as part of the punishment, Cavani released comments in response to the ban on his Instagram account.

“Hello everyone, I don’t want to extend much in this uncomfortable moment for me.

“I want to accept the disciplinary sanction Knowing that I am foreign to English language customs, but I do not share the point of view.

“I apologize if I offended someone with an expression of affection towards a friend, nothing further in my intention.

“Those who know me know that my effort always seek the simplest joy and friendship!

“I appreciate the countless expression of support and affection.

“My heart is at peace, because I know that I always expressed myself with affection according to my culture and way of life.

“I send you a sincere hug.”

Cavani has sincere his arrival from PSG managed to become a noticable part of the Red Devils squad having netted 3 goals in 9 games.
