Edinson Cavani has confirmed he has held talks with Benfica and other clubs too.
Cavani has broken silence on his fate and future. He confirmed he has held talks with Benfica but Leeds too.
The Uruguayan International who has been on the bench at PSG since Moura Icardi was signed to the club would be leaving anytime soon.
After his break at Montevideo, the 33 years on his return to France, confirmed that he’s held talks with clubs, specifically, Benfica on a move to the club.
With Vetonghen signed from Tottenhham for free, Benfica wants to secure Cavani too but the striker says “nothing is defined yet”
Cavani stated: “We spoke. There were meetings, as there were also with other clubs. Nothing is defined, so I cannot say anything. When there is an agreement, when it is real, they will know.”
After being released at PSG,
Edison Cavani is a free agent and was heavily linked to Leeds United who were promoted to premier league.
He was also linked with a move to Atletico in January, but the deal fell apart,
Cavani being one of the bests in Europe should be a great sign-in for a team. With 353 goals in 586 club appearances, and scoring 50 times in 116 matches for Uruguay.
To add to that, Edinson Cavani also won 16 major trophies with Paris Saint Germain.
