Man United is still strongly chasing after Real Madrid center back, Raphael Varane, confirms Fabrizio Romano
Real Madrid are really finding it difficult to convince the French defender into extending his stay in the Spanish La Liga and Man United are now only waiting for the club to disclose their price before submitting an official deal.
The Red Devils have also been linked to a swap deal which meant having their talented midfielder, Donny van de Beek joining Real Madrid in exchange for Varane who is considered a top priority at Old Trafford.
Donny van de Beek hasn’t gotten the game time he desire at Man United and pushing for an exit is more likely for him now which gave the Varane swap deal little spark.
On the other hand, Varane isn’t interested in extending his stay in Spain and as such has rejected every deal from Real Madrid as he also has reached personal agreement with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has assured that Man United have no plans of including de Beek on the deal for Varane as the rumors claim, which means the club are only looking to pay cash for the 28-year-old defender.
Man United’s main transfer priority is a center back and are keen to complete a deal for this position before the summer window closes and currently have only Varane on their list.
For Varane it’s just a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ he would be joining Man United who are now just waiting to learn of the Spanish Giant’s price tag for the player.
