The Dutch man could be following Van Dijk’s path following Liverpool’s interest to have the 20-year-old replace his injured country man
Sven Botman is reportedly linked to a Liverpool move after sources claim he is considered as a replacement to injured Van Dijk who is yet to recover.
The 29-year-old’s absence from the squad has been felt greatly with the recent coming from his side’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton, leaving them same points with Man United.
Liverpool are at the risk of losing the top spot to Man United should they fail to beat the Red Devils who still got an outstanding game with Burnley.
It’s clear the Reds need a back man and after been knocked off their chase for Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar following the Nerazzurri’s huge money demands, the Champions are strongly expected to move in for Sven Botman.
In response to the rumors circulating, Fabrizio Romano provided clear update stating the English side are yet to open talks for the 20-year-old.
The Lille star has made 17 appearances so far for the French side and likely won’t reject interest from Liverpool but it’s just the Champions are yet to present an offer.
