Raphael Varane is considered a target by the ranks at Old Trafford as Florentino Perez confirms the defender’s fate
Manchester United maybe kicking off their signings soon with Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane’s deal most talked of.
The French defender is linked to a possible move to Old Trafford after United witnessed a major defensive slack following Harry Maguire’s injury.
Ahead of the new season and with Man United having their mind grasped on landing a major trophy, Raphael Varane joining the squad makes much sense for Ole Solskjaer who can’t wait to start producing silverware.
Lossing the Europa League final to Villarreal and finishing second placed, points behind Manchester City tells Man United there are much to fix.

The Red Devils are reportedly preparing to submit a deal around €40m to €45m for the 27-year-old with Real Madrid also aware he could likely refuse a new deal.
Speaking with the knowledge of Varane likely to be wanting to leave as a free agent should Madrid push to tie him down, the club president, Perez said; “We haven’t received any offer for Varane.”
As this goes contradictory to reports of United already submitting deal for the defender, Perez went on to sincerely hint the player could be leaving.
Unlike other players who the club would be pushing to keep, Perez said of Varane; “If he wants to leave, he’ll say it”.
Varane is currently on national duties with his country side, France who have managed to move past the group stage of the Euro competition.
France finished at the top of the league following 2-2 draw with defending Champions Portugal who finished below Germany.
Should any transfer deal be happening with the former Lens man then it most likely would be after the ongoing competition.
