Chelsea were the superior side despite a good game from Arsenal in the friendly clash
Mikel Arteta’s boys came on as the all-fired-up side against Chelsea but unfortunately conceded the first goal.
Edouard Mendy’s presence in the goal post limited Gunners from landing that significant blow on Blues despite having first made two run ins past the defense line.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was superb for his side outrunning Christian Pulisic on multiple occasions when Arsenal was in possession.
Chelsea opened the scoreline on the 26th minute when Kai Havertz finely converted a pass from Timo Werner who failed to hit the shoot when he had the opportunity minutes prior the goal.

Right into the second half, Tuchel decided to take off Edouard Mendy to hand Kepa a chance to perform as it’s a friendly game, but this in some way appeared to be a mistake as Kepa didn’t even make the diving attempt when Xhaka pushed in that equalizer from close range.
But the North Londoners celebration didn’t last long until Tammy Abraham stole a loose ball in Arsenal’s half to provide a fine placing into Leno’s goal post.
Loftus-Cheek was of course a fine player for Tuchel today as he arguably made most of the touches in the first half while Ziyech was there to provide that fine passes across the sides locating Pulisic from afar.
Michy Batshuayi also got game time of which he impressed and almost got a goal but Tammy Abraham’s decision to fire straight while the Belgian was by the side denied him a spot on the score sheet.
From Arsenal’s side, Thomas Partey was a problem for Chelsea in the first half until he was injured and had to be replaced by their Goal Scorer, Xhaka.
Emile Smith-Rowe was also on the commentators lips as he made several attempts to break into that Chelsea defense line, of which he could have won a penalty.
Chelsea will take on Tottenham Hotspur on their next encounter.
