Real madrid have seen their UEFA champions league woes continue at the hands of Paris Saint Germain last night.

The Spanish giants lost 3-0 to the french champions in what was a thrilling encounter at the Parc de Princes.

The last time Real Madrid played a champions league match was a 1-4 loss at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu last season to Ajax Amsterdam which ultimately saw them bow out of the UCL at the round of 16 knockout stage.

Zinedine Zidane approached the fixture with a traditional 4-3-3 formation, opting for Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and summer signing Eden Hazard at the offensive.

The Parisians were however able to neutralize their potency, which saw them begin their UCL campaign with a clean sheet at the hands of the competition’s biggest winners.

Angel Di Maria opened scoring for the home team in the 14th minute before adding another to his tally with a placed strike in the 33rd minute, Belgian full back Thomas Munier then rapped up the game with few minutes to go.

Gareth Bale saw his goal disallowed for a handball in the first half which could have seen the Madrid outfit reduce the deficit to just a goal.

Real Madrid will travel to Seville for their La Liga clash against Sevilla on Sunday, while PSG will lock horns against Lyon also on Sunday.
