Former Man United player, Gary Neville has disclosed that he still has great believe that Paul Pogba can be the Premier League best player for the 2019/2020 season, despite frenchman missing decisive penalty.
Paul Pogba caused Man United 3 points last night as he refused letting Marcus Rashford take the decisive penalty kick after Ruben Navas 55th minute equalizer.
Man United started out well when Anthony Martial opened the scoreline in the 27th minute, but it’s so unfortunate as their visit to Molineux Stadium ended up in a tie.
Wolverhampton were the better team in the game as they continue their good records of not losing against most top 4 teams.
Series of critics have been directed towards former Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba for failing to put the team ahead during the 68th minute.
But former Man United man, Gary Neville believes Pogba missing a decisive penalty doesn’t erase the chances of him becoming the best player in the Premier League this season.
According to words of 44-year-old former Red Devil, ‘Pogba can still be the midfielder to watch this season’ as he still has all that is required to control the center of the pitch.
‘I think he could be the player of the year.’ Neville told Skysports news.
‘He has the potential to be the best player in this league. He has the biggest personality in this league.
‘Manchester United’s season rests a lot on him depending on how well he plays. I think he could be the player of the year, he is the one to watch for me.
‘A lot of success for United depends on him and whether he can reach his real high standard.’ Neville ended.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender had blasted Neville for his opinion on Pogba as he interrupted Gary’s statement with his words, saying; ‘Stupid statement!’
Pogba looks to get back on track as he had earlier started this season on good vibes as he made an assist in his sides 4-0 victory over the Blues last 2 weekends.
