Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has provided the latest on Christian Pulisic injury after the winger missed Chelsea’s 1-2 away win last night against Ligue One side Stade Rennes.
The 22-year-old was greatly tipped for the trip to Rennes on Tuesday following Lampard’s positive injury report while speaking to the press on Saturday but unfortunately couldn’t make a much anticipated return to action.

Speaking during the Blues’ post-match press conference on Tuesday, Lampard suggested a weekend return for the former Dortmund man.
“Christian stays back and doesn’t travel but the good news is that he has had good aggression in the last few days or week and the reason he stays back is to get some physical work in.

“Hopefully he will be in contention at the weekend.”
A weekend return for the American means he’ll be in contention when the Blues lock horns with table-toppers, Tottenham Hotspurs at Stamford Bridge on Sunday following a four-week sideline from action.
