Ex- Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole was quite critical of Blues record signing Kai Havertz after a disgraceful outing last night at Molineux.
The Blues were culpable of reckless abandon last night as they fell yet on the road, losing late on in the game after going ahead few minutes into the second half.
Speaking how the Blues fared last night, Joe criticized the team’s lack of cohesion in the game especially when it mattered most.
“It was a spineless night for Frank and his team, Cole said to BT Sports.
“It should have been a convincing win in the second half. They controlled the game for most part but lost it when it was most needed”
“But what can i say, the second goal was looming. You needed not to give such space at that time of the game” Cole added.
On Kai Havertz performance on the night, Cole stated that Lampard should have subbed the German for Kovacic before the equalizer.
“It think he shouldn’t have stayed that long on the pitch” He said.
“That was a disaster from him, he certainly needs more confidence, more time. This is the premier league, things move pretty quick over here”
The manager obviously has some work to do if they’re to spark him to life” Cole said.
Stamford Bridge will be the venue for Chelsea’s next match in the league against West Ham after tonight’s loss
