The 32-year-old refused to extend his stay at Bayern Munich and could become Chelsea’s latest signing after the Blues indicated strong interest to sign him.

Boateng joined Bayern back in 2011 and has since then made 354 appearances for the German champions.

Following reports from Kicker, the former Manchester City defender’s wish not to extend his contract will now be honored after Bayern Munich reached an agreement with him.
