Liverpool risk losing the Premier League title amid claims the Body might cancel 2019/2020 season due to large scale of Corona Virus.

Liverpool are considered the champions of the EPL currently according to expectations but this might take a u-turn as the Premier League are likely to cancel all Premier League schedules.

According to the Telegraph, Premier League might be considering cancelling all remaining EPL games in order to curb the spread of Corona Virus which has taken the world by surprise.

Over 80,000 cases reported with over 2,000 dead, other top flight leagues such as the Serie A and Serie B have began the cancellation and postponement of fixtures.

Even the past Europa League clash in Italy were held behind closed doors and supporters had to cheer from the walls of their homes as everyone was meant to stay back home in fear of the virus.

There are greater chances the UK Government might adopt a more drastic measure in fighting the spread of the Corona Virus and that includes terminating the 2019/2020 Premier League Season.

It was also revealed that the Premier League currently has no plan on ground to help avoid the spread of the virus via handshake as they haven’t decided to stop the handshakes before matches.

Meanwhile, teams such as Newcastle has paused their long term tradition of handshakes between the coaches and players each time they meet on the training ground.

The Swiss Government has also decided today to cancel every events that involves 1,000 people or more in efforts to tackle the spread of the deadly virus.

Even the 2020 Olympic Games is considered on the verge of cancellation as the Senior International Olympic Committee member, Dick Pound described the Virus as the ‘New War’ threatening Tokyo 2020 and has also warned the event might be cancelled.
