Odion Ighalo has dished out some responding words to fellow country man, Amokachi calling him just-a-backup striker as the Nigerian is yet to start an EPL game for Ole Solskjaer.
Ighalo was yesterday called out by his Country-man, Amokachi as just-a-back up striker at Old Trafford and there are lesser to no chances of Ole starting him ahead of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford.
Since joining from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua, Ighalo is yet to make a Premier League start for the Red Devils despite playing more important roles whenever he is brought in as a substitute.

Indirectly responding to Amokachi, Odion Ighalo applauded the excellent performances displayed lately by the United-Wonder-three, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as he also pledges to always keep fit in case he’s needed to support at any time.
“They are doing so well,” he said, when asked about the recent goal exploits of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. “Seeing them playing every week is a joy. Rashford has come back from his injury and is doing well. Martial is scoring goals, Mason Greenwood is unbelievable, he is such a good finisher with both feet.Embed from Getty Images
“The team is doing well and the three forwards are scoring goals and that’s what we need – goals win games. And I don’t forget Bruno [Fernandes] with the assists and goals too. I think the mentality is getting stronger every time.
“As a professional, you have to be ready, you have to have that mental strength to be ready,” he continued. “We train hard to keep fit and I’m always ready when I’m called upon, and I will give 100 per cent. You always have to stay focused.”
Ighalo has since he joined United netted 5 goals and 1 assists in 14 appearances despite coming on mostly as a substitute.
