Mesut Ozil has suddenly gone from the best midfielder to the most hated by some fans and here is why.
The former Real Madrid man hasn’t featured in Arsenal games since the start of the new season but although is still contracted to the club till 2021.
With many fans already raining abuses on the Turkish on Social Media platforms due to his absence.
Several rumors in the past about what is happening to Ozil as some say it’s his laziness that is stoping him from getting featured.
Others say it’s due to the absence of a defensive minded midfielder who would take responsibility of the defensive role of the center when Gunners lose balls.
Many others say he has fallen off the pecking order and should be discharged from the team.
Having already been labelled a greedy fellow for not taking the exit door when opportunities showed up, some Arsenal fans think the Midfielder is trying to make every dime he can from the club before leaving.
Ray Parlour has also gone to the extent of labellinh him deceitful for offering to pay Gunnersaurus’ wages as Arsenal lay off the old member due to excessive costs.

Main Reason why Mesut Ozil hasn’t played for Arsenal since the beginning of 2020/2021 season.
Ozil seems to have fallen into a big mess when he decided to speak against the killing of a small Muslim group in China back in 2019.
Taking to his social media page, Ozil spoke against how a group of Muslims have been maltreated and killed in China.
Ozil being a muslim accused the wider muslim communities of abandoning the Muslim minority Uighur population in the Northern part of China.
“[In China] Qurans are burned, mosques were closed down, Islamic theological schools, madrasas were banned, religious scholars were killed one by one. Despite all this, Muslims stay quiet.” – Ozil wrote.
The incident said to have been occuring for quite a long time took place in Xinjiang.
And in turn, having sparked alot of fire from the Asian country, Arsenal have so far distanced themselves from the longest serving player at Emirates Stadium.
According to reports and speculations, the China shareholders of the club threatened to pull out of the club should Ozil gets featured again.
Also, television channels in China threatened to ban televising Arsenal games should Ozil feature in games as well.
It’s likely a dead-end for the player for created more chances so far in Arsenal.
The editor of the Golden Times, Hu Xijin, also came on to publicly blast the star in a comment that has been deleted saying.
“This man is full of nonsense. Does he just want to encourage global jihad, using Xinjiang as an excuse?”
The player remains unused with his career hanging on the fence, moves to other teams seem unlikely yet and he also has recently turned down a move to MLS.
