Juana Lillo former Zaragoza and Real Sociedad boss assumes 2nd role duty at Mancity.
Prior to the exit of Mikel Arteta from the deputy’s seat of the team, Mancity appoints Juana Lillo as assistant coach.
Juana Lillo, 54, with his wealth of experience and level of punditry seem to be the best choice for City at the moment. The Spaniard has been a one time coach for Pep Guardiola in youthful age. He left Qingdao Huanghai for Manchester City, a club which he sees as his “greener pasture”.
On joining City, he said: “I am delighted to have joined Mancity ’s coaching staff.
History has it that Juana Lillo coached Pep Guardiola in Dorados de Sinaloa (MEXICO). According to the official Manchester City website, the interception of legendary Juana Lillo would make a great administrative match up with City’s boss just as tge case was with Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta.
The duo have been making neccessary preparations carrying along the Mancity players and cajoling them to “up their game” as speculations for EPL resumption next weekend draws nearer.
On leaving Mancity, Mikel Arteta said: City’s success over the last few years has created a strong bond between players and staff. With two league title claims, I’ll never forget and for no reason regret my stay at Etihad.
Mancity, before Arteta’s leave, are in the second place on the EPL table with 57 points and 37 goal differences. They have to their own merit scored 68 goals in total and had conceded 31 goals since the beginning of the premier league games.
