Takehiro fields mostly as a center back or right back and with Thomas Tuchel‘s 3-5-2 formation, he could fit in well should Chelsea complete his move.
He followed Nakata‘s footsteps to become the second Japanese to sign for Italian side, Bologna back in 2019 on a €9m deal.
With Takehiro’s contract still running until 2024 any team that wants to have him would be set to cash in around €30m before Bologna could let go.
Ever since joining from Sint Truiden, the defender has made 63 appearances for Bologna and scores 3 goals.
