Ecuadorian youngster Moises Caicedo is understood to be on the verge of completing a £4.5m winter switch to Old Trafford on a five-year deal.
United seem to have dealt decisively a competition from Chelsea in landing the highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder from Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle.
Reports earlier today played down United’s chase of Caicedo.

Upon arrival, Caicedo would join fellow youngsters Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellestri.
Caicedo is set to be Man Utd’s first winter signing with official announcements by the club imminent.
However, one problem that may arise is the player’s ability to obtain a work permit to play in England due to his age and appearances in South America, but the Red outfit will surely intensify obtaining a work permit for the 19-year-old.Embed from Getty Images
