Billy Gilmour is linked to a Chelsea exit following Frank Lampard’s sack as fears over possible lack of game time set in
The 19-year-old started training with Chelsea first team right from the age of 15 as his composure in the center made him exceptional among every other Blues youth star.
Just like under any new administration, it’s expected Tuchel would soon be dropping players who he deem not fit enough to partake in his agenda for the club.
One of the many players who fear for their future is little Gilmour who seems to be misunderstanding Tuchel’s ideology when it comes to youngsters who can actually impress.
Pulisic’s case is a clear example, same as Dembele’s. Tuchel would be glad to have Gilmour in his squad if only the Scottish gives what’s needed.
Speaking to the club’s official website after been told of the player’s worry for future sake, Tuchel;
“For Billy Gilmour I have a good impression. He is a very strategic guy, with a very high level of game understanding, very good in the first contact, very clever in positioning.
“We will see if he has the physical level to compete in the center of the field in the most physical league in the world, but he is super quick with his feet, super fast with his decision making, and very good in positioning like I said.
It’s also rumored Tuchel is planning on flushing the squad with plans of purchasing his own spec from the outside.
Meanwhile, Tuchel is no where planning this as he debunks the rumors saying;
“For me we have 21, 22 outfield players available to play in three competitions. There is absolutely no need to get rid of players.”
Billy Gilmour didn’t get time to showcase during Chelsea goalless draw during Wolves’ Stamford Bridge visit.
Hopefully the youngster makes the starting 1-1 during Sunday’s Burnley clash.
