Havertz is yet to establish his ground at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from the Bundesliga with Frank Lampard been questioned lately by the German’s former manager
Kai Havertz has decided to break silence since his former manager questioned Frank Lampard on his current struggles since arrival from the Bundesliga side.
Having made 24 appearances for Chelsea, the 21-year-old has only netted 1 Premier League goal while managing a hattrick in his new side’s cup clash against Burnley.
Coming late against Man City during their last game, Havertz provided Chelsea’s only assist with Hudson-Odoi only pulling one of the three goals conceded back.
Following comments by his former manager on Friday with Bosz questioning Lampard’s vision for his former player;
“As for Kai, I can see why Chelsea brought him in but I cannot yet see the exact idea Frank Lampard has for him,” Bosz told the Athletic on Friday.
“It’s really good that he protects him in the press, though. But in the end, you must deliver, you must score goals and make goals. For a €100 million transfer you must play, and he isn’t.”
In response to this, the Aachen born seems to added voice to his former manager’s comments after dropping photos of himself training ahead of Chelsea’s Morecambe game on Sunday.
Kai Havertz hopes to get some minutes when Chelsea battle Morecambe with Frank Lampard hoping to save his job with turning things around after his last game loss sparked his sack talks.
Havertz hopes to get to his scoring spree just like the Leverkusen days when he stared majorly as a false 9 and helped his side to the DFB Pokal final.
