Havertz suffered a hamstring injury and is a doubt for Aston Villa clash on Sunday
The 21-year-old suffered a ‘minor’ hamstring injury during their 1-0 loss to Leicester City in the FA Cup final.
Havertz from this missed out on their revenge victory over same side in the Premier League with Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho booking spots on the score sheet.
Having struggled earlier to settle in the Chelsea squad, the former Bayer Leverkusen forward is gradually settling in the squad as he lately became one of the best finishers the Blues have.
It’s likely the German would be back earlier than expected after confirming today that his injury is a minor one.
Speaking on his injury, Havertz said; “I feel good, I was lucky it was only a small [hamstring] injury.”

Unlike many other players, Havertz managed to bounce back from his woeful start to make impact lately, including setting up the finishing goal against Real Madrid when he chipped brilliantly above Thibaut Courtois to find the bar and provide a rebound to Werner who finished off the strike with a fine header.
But it appears we are yet to see the best of Kai as he went on to admit he had a very dull start but hopes to take on light speed when next season starts.
“Of course it was not the best season but I always look forward step by step,” The former Bundesliga talent stated.
“I know I can do a lot better and yeah hopefully I will do better next season.”
