It’s been 10 years, Norwich have been out of the Premier League struggling to get back in and appointing Daniel Farke as their most recent manager helped me get back to the EPL.
Norwich didn’t get the best part of the game as they went up against the defending European Champions, Liverpool and were thrashed 4-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.
Although it seemed somehow auchward that the Reds took a 4-0 lead in first 45 minutes of the game but failed to net in another for the remaining 45 minutes. Instead, Norwich’s striker, Antero Pukki gave his side their first Premier league goal since 10 years.
Allison Berger picked a calf injury when a tried a goal kick and was replaced by the Reds new keeper, Adrian who conceded just a goal but also made good saves. According to BBC sports, Allisson will miss out on the Super Cup match against Chelsea.
Liverpool maintained a clean side as they weren’t booked in the whole 90 minutes, but Norwich became the first team in the 2019/2020 season to be booked after Moritz Leitner’s first touch as he came in for Marco Stiepermann was a hard tackle and the referee quickly booked the youngman.
5 minutes later, Buendia Stati did similar to what Leitner had done, and was as well handed the yellow card just a minute after Teemu Pukki found the back of the net.
Leitner’s presence changed the game as his side, woke up from their slumber. Leitner also made an attempt which hit the woodwork.
